We have so far cycled From San Cristobal, Chiapas to The Mayan ruins of Palenque also in Chiapas, crossed the border at Frontera Corozal to Betel, Guatemala which was a river crossing, then on to Belize via Flores. Then all the way down to Punta Gorda in southern Belize. From there we took another boat to Purto Barrios, Guatemala.

We are now In a town called Chicimula, close to the Honduras border. By this Tuesday we will be in El Salvador.

Cycling in Guatemala has been hair raising. Too many abusive truck drivers who even manage to run cars off the road. So we mostly cycle along a terribly bumpy sort of hard shoulder that caused us to puncture because the path is strewn with glass and metal.

Travelling with Tigerlily continues to be the best. Just wish it wasn't so damn hot!
